Nathan Wingham played for Countesthorpe in the monsoon summer of 2012. He was an off spinner and useful batsman who like Iain Robertson, came from Christchurch, New Zealand, playing for Lancaster Park Woolston. He had also played for West Coast in the Hawke Cup (New Zealand's equivalent of the Minor Counties Championship) and had put in some valiant performances for a team that was invariably beaten by huge margins.
Whilst in England, he worked as a green keeper at Cosby Golf Club, and was a valued club member, 'Wingman' was normally found on one side or other of the clubhouse bar.
